![]() by Fred McMillin for March 12, 1997 The Best Little WINERY in Town The best little Winery in town is Rosenblum Cellars, 2900 Main st., Alameda,California...near the ferry terminal across the bay from the City of San Francisco. It is NOTsimply an urban novelty. Rosenblum turns out about 50,000 cases a year of very serious stuff. To see what we mean, try the '94 Merlot. Founder-winemaker Kent Rosenblum calls it "magnificent...should age well for 10 years" Voted tops in my last blind tasting,it might just be "the best little red in town."
1994 100% Merlot, Lone Oak Vineyard, Russian River Valley Category: Highly Recommended Postscript: Yes, visitors are welcome.. seven days a week.. noon until 5.
