Korean-style Miso Barbecue Sauce

Makes 1/4 cup


3 tablespoons red, barley, or Hatcho miso
1 tablespoon honey
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon diced leeks or onions
1 tablespoon ground roasted sesame seeds
   or 2 teaspoons sesame butter or tahini
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon (7-spice) red pepper or tabasco sauce
Dash of white pepper

Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Delicious with (grilled) deep-fried tofu.
