Emily Luchetti honed her skills as the pastry chef at Stars restaurant. She has received numerous awards, including the 2004 James Beard Foundation Outstanding Pastry Chef of the Year Award (she had been nominated in 1993 and 1994), the 2003 Food Arts Magazine Silver Spoon Award, and in 1994 was named by Chocolatier Magazine as on of America's Top Ten Pastry Chefs. Her books include, Stars Desserts (nominated for an IACP cookbook award), Four Star Desserts (nominated for a James Beard Foundation cookbook Award) and A Passion For Desserts. Now the pastry chef at Farallon in San Francisco, she also contributed the dessert recipes for The Farallon Cookbook.
