Recipes of America is a television show brought to you by Sargento Foods. The companion website of the same name offers recipes from great restaurants around the country visited by show hosts, Janet Kauss and David Nisbet. If you find yourself pining for a meal in one of the featured restaurants, explore the useful links accompanying the reviews which offer travel information to that destination.

Places currently featured include: Austin, Charleston, Chicago, Napa Valley, New York, New Orleans, San Antonio and San Francisco. In each city, you'll find at least one, but sometimes two, restaurants to visit. Provided as an addition to each restaurant's noteworthy recipes, you'll find recipes created by Sargento chef's which serve as a complement of or substitution for particular menu items. Often, nutritional analyses are provided. Extensive bios of each chef prepare you for the meal you're about to enjoy.

A visit to Napa Valley takes you to Domaine Chandon, producer of sparkling California wines comparable to the champagne of its sister estate in France, the famed Moet et Chandon. Here in the States, Chef Philippe Jeanty has mastered the nuances of cooking with wines and champagne and his recipes are spectacular. His offerings include Mussels in Chardonnay with Parsley-Pernod Sauce and a robust Smoked Tomato Soup with Pinot Meunier. In keeping in tune, Recipes of America has provided some interesting recipes of their own such as Wine & Cheese Bread Pudding, Italian Baked Tomatoes, Sole with Mushrooms and a Sophisticated Bleu Cheese Ball. So take some time out for culinary travel, even if it means never leaving home.
