Where do vegetables come from? Some grow on bushes, while many vegetables grow on vines or, sometimes, underground, like carrots and potatoes. But all vegetables come from seeds. Inside are the seeds that could grow new plants. Some are easy to find, such as squash, beans, and eggplant.

Throw a Sense-sational Tasting Party. As a family, work together to plan tasting events. Choose different vegetables that can be eaten raw, such as carrots, broccoli, celery, cauliflower, and zucchini sticks. Have children describe each food, using words to describe its taste, how it feels in their mouth, and how it sounds when they chew!
