Serves: 1-4
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Rating: Very Easy
This gigantic chocolate chip cookie will serve 3 or 4 people for about 10 minutes or 1 person for about 1/2 hour.
Place one of the oven racks in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
To save time on cleanup, I cook and bake in the same container. Place a metal—not glass—pie pan on a stove burner over low heat. Melt the butter or margarine right in the pan. As soon as it's melted, turn off the heat.
Add the two sugars and stir thoroughly. Add the egg, vanilla, flour, baking powder and salt and stir until well combined. Mix in the chocolate chips so they are well distributed.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top of the "cookie" browns and they begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Cool on a rack. Serve cut into thin wedges, or cut it into any shape you want.
Mom Warning:
The batter doesn't taste very good. Even Kevin says so. But the
wedges do.
