Beergarden crowd

German-Americans are one of the largest ethnic groups in North America. Hundreds of large and small Oktoberfest celebrations occur across the United States and Canada, with the largest usually considered to be the Oktoberfest Zinzinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Frankenmuth Oktoberfest in Michigan is reportedly the first Oktoberfest outside of Munich to have been sanctioned by the German Parliament and the City of Munich.

Big List of Oktoberfest Events

Beer drinkers

Though most Oktoberfest events are street festivals, some of the 300-plus events listed below include parades, cruises or train rides, some occur in months beside the traditional September and October (several are in August), some are alcohol-free (i.e. they have no idea what Oktoberfest means), and many are sponsored by restaurants, resorts, churches, civic clubs and wineries. (Wineries? Isn't Oktoberfest about beer...?)

This list is far from complete nor do we guarantee that the links will work or that the event will actually take place. Some events may require fees, and event dates vary widely. Please confirm with the organizers before making any plans.
