Some traditions never die—like eggnog and hot buttered rum on a cold, snowy winter evening. Others survive as adaptations with varying cultural impressions. Here is an assortment of festive beverages ranging from ones which Charles Dickens himself might have drunk, to jazzy New Year's updates from warmer climates. Be sure to supplement your bar with plenty of non-alcoholic beverages as well; cranberry juice, ginger beer and iced mint tea are festive drinks for designated drivers, children and anyone maintaining a dry profile.
